Law firms do not prepare detailed publicly available comparable financial information. Yet most law firms are justifiably concerned about their comparative performance. We have developed a method of valuation of partnership interests in law firms that provides insight into the success of the firm's trading and structure and enables sensible long-term planning to increase value.
